Ambleside Residential Home has been offering a high standard of care to the elderly since  1984. It is a secure, happy and relaxed home situated in a pleasant residential areaof Hatherley in Cheltenham.

The majestic building is set in its own extensive grounds providing the highest quality of care for the elderly. The care standards are traditionally high, provided in a homely setting. All the rooms are pleasant, spacious and full of individual character.

Ambleside Residential Home is situated in a quiet location close to Hatherly Park and promenade. It is 2 miles north-west of Cheltenham, with its magnificent Cotswold and period homes.

Ambleside Residential Home has 16 single bedrooms and 1 twin room. All rooms are nicely decorated and fully furnished, however we do encourage Residents to bring in smaller articles of their furniture, a television, pictures and ornaments to personalise their rooms. Each room has a wash basin, a call system, radiators with their own thermostat controls, television point and phone points.

The Home boasts a magnificent Victorian character and several sitting and dining areas. We have beautifully maintained gardens set against a picturesque tree landscape, which offers a lovely view and a sheltered, safe place to sit and laze away the summer days, in the sun lounge.

At Ambleside Residential Home we consider it important to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene and our staff are fully trained in hygiene control. Residents’ rooms and the communal areas are routinely cleaned. Maintenance is carried out regularly to keep the Home in good decorative order. This is to ensure that we provide a safe, hygienic and pleasant environment for Residents, staff and visitors.

Should a Resident require any aids or equipment to assist them, these can be arranged. Any requirements can be discussed and organised with the Manager.
